Fresh Cranberry Relish
Enjoy the bright festive burst of cranberries and fresh oranges in this classic holiday relish. The sweetness of the orange and ginger are the perfect compliment to the tartness of fresh cranberries. A distinctive side dish for holiday meals with the family.
Ingredients
- 12 oz Fresh Cranberries (HBF Berries are best!) 🙂
- 1 Navel Orange
- 1/4 cup walnuts, or other nuts (optional)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp candied ginger (optional)
Instructions
-
Rinse, drain and remove any too soft cranberries. Rinse the orange, and cut off top and bottom ends, leaving the rest of the peel intact. Cut the orange (including the peel) into large chunks. Add the cranberries, orange chunks, nuts, and sugar to food processor. Process until well chopped.
Using a kitchen knife & cutting board, mince the candied ginger into tiny peices. Add minced ginger to the food processor and blend all ingredients until nicely mixed.
Refridgerate overnight to enhance flavors.
Serve as a wonderfully healthy side dish for your holiday dinner. Pairs perfectly with turkey or baked ham.
