Happy Halloween weekend! Are you throwing a party? Going to one? Or just staying home and passing out the candy? In any case, you’ve got to keep yourself fed (and maybe need to feed some fellow party-goers.) And here’s where we step in! We’ve been waiting all season for our fresh and delicious HBF cranberries to be ready for harvest, and they’re here! So what do we suggest? At the recent Produce Marketing Association show in Orlando we served up our HBF Cranberry Salsa and we could barely keep up with the line. Now, we don’t want you waiting in long lines for this delicious treat, so we’re just going to share the recipe with you right here, right now. Here’s the simple trick to an alternative to jarred tomato salsa that will have your friends and neighbors saying anything but boo! All you need is:


  • 1 12 oz bag fresh HBF cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 chopped green onions
  • 1 – 2 (depending on heat you likseeded and chopped jalapeño
  • 1 Tbsp ginger
  • 1 Tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon to 1/3 salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • in Put cranberries and sugar food processor and pulse 3 to 4 times until coarsely chopped.


  1. Scrape down and add chopped green onions, chopped jalapeño, ginger, lemon juice, and salt.
  2. Pulse another 3 to 4 times until chopped. Stir in cilantro and let sit 2 to 24 hours in the fridge to set flavors.
  3. Serve with tortilla chips.
